The bank switched to the upgraded system last month.

Julian Cook, FX options product manager, FNX, says virtually all Mizuhos which arrive from branches throughout Japan are fed into Sierra via an automatic interface.

"Mizuho's middle office risk systems are also fed by automated exports of option values and greeks from Sierra," he adds.

Philadelphia-based FNX says it is currently adding sequential barrier models to the system for the bank's retail products and is enhancing export capabilities to provide new greeks in the analytic matrices generated for middle office risk systems.
