Lloyds TSB is to provide small business clients with discounted access to Experian customer prospecting data via the bank's online SME portal.
The Prospect Finder Database is a bespoke version of Experian's Prospect Locator solution, which contains data on over 20 million households.
Data can be catergorised and selected by geodemographics, such as postcode and gender, or by lifestyle information, such as financial, travel and mail order details. The data can also be catergorised and sorted using Experian's Mosaic and Financial Mosaic segmentation tools.
Business customers can use the system to access detailed lifestyle data on over four million individuals, accessing information ranging from leisure and purchasing habits, to the date of insurance renewals.
For prospecting, the database holds a list of 1.6 million UK businesses, which can be sorted by company size, business sector and specific job titles.
Guy Herrington, marketing director, business banking, Lloyds TSB, says many SMEs know the types of customers they are trying to target but struggle to find an appropriate or cost effective source for prospecting.
"The Prospect Finder Database will take away the time consuming search and selection work and give the business owner the confidence that they are contacting the best prospects for their products and services," says Herrington.
Lloyds TSB says all its small business customers using the database will receive a 10% discount on all standard data rates from Experian.
