The Society says the integration solution will be used to streamline processes including mortgages, savings and investment, insurance, purchasing, internal fiscal reconciliation and business-to-business.

Keith Pattison, head of e-business, Derbyshire Building Society, says: "Our systems have been built over a number of years and as a result were very silo-based. Our aim has been to get everything working together, without losing the investment in our legacy systems."

Under the contract, Tibco will integrate mortgage, additional advance processes and pre-completion in a phased implementation. The vendor says it has already completed an integration framework platform for the Society's mortgage operation, which has reduced backlog, simplified application processing and increased volumes.
