The bank, a subsidiary of Whitney Holding Corporation, says the solution will support all of its trade finance products, including commercial and standby letters of credit, clean and direct collections and bankers' acceptances and documentary.

The vendor says TradeLine will be implemented on a Windows 2000 platform with a Web-enabled user interface and will help increase straight-through processing (STP) and reduce operational costs.

TradeLine integrates and automates international trade services operations and enables firms to support multiple banks, branches and currencies across centralised and dispersed regional processing centres. AMS says the deal marks the first such implementation of the software at small and mid-sized banks.
