Japanese card issuer UFJ Card is to use technology from Cyota to implement the Verified by Visa Internet authentication solution for its seven million cardholders.
UFJ Card's Verified by Visa programme is one of the first large scale commercial implementations of the Visa cardholder authentication system in Japan. The card issuer, a division of one of the big four commercial banks in Japan, is using Cyota's SecureVbV hosted solution to manage its programme.
UFJ's service is provided through Intelligent Wave Inc. (IWI), Cyota's partner in Japan.
