Toronto Dominion is to extend Front Capital Systems' Arena software to its New York operation following the success of the implementation at its London, Toronto and Dublin offices. The move will provide the Canadian bank with one consolidated software platform on which to base its global credit trading strategy.

The system was first implement in London in 1999 enabling the bank to trade, analyse and manage the risk of various complex credit derivative structures on behalf of clients.

Richard Jardim, vice president at TD Securities, Toronto comments: "The success of our UK credit trading desk based on the Front Arena platform has given us the confidence and rationale to install the software across our US and Canadian operations."

Gavin Style, UK regional manager at Front Capital Systems says: "Front Arena's whole architecture has been designed to enable banks to take a broad based approach to their credit trading activities. TD has benefited from being able to manage their entire credit trading business on one platform."
