Misys says the upgraded version of Quasar enables firms to revise workflows and will be able to match a users' specific style of working and present all system processes as a collection of new multi-task modules and interfaces, instead of the current menu-driven, character-based, single workflow approach.

In addition, a graphical user interface (GUI) is integrated with InterSystems' Caché database, providing connectivity to separate systems and processes.

Cheryl Redgewell, operations products manager, Misys Asset Management Systems, says firms will be able to integrate the new version within their current Quasar infrastructure and as a result, critical operational processes can be performed faster, better and more efficiently.

The vendor is delivering Quaser 6 over Internet, Intranet and ASP models.
