Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein has added online gold spot trading to its Web-based FX dealing system Piranha.
Piranha users can now trade gold spot against three major currencies - the US dollar, the euro and the Australian dollar - during New York, London and Sydney market hours.
Andreas Ruschkowski, head of global commodities, capital markets, at DrKW in London says: "The gold price has risen sharply over recent months and is firmly back on investors' radar screens. The incorporation of gold spot trading into Piranha FX will allow our customers to get convenient access to this market."
