Multex wins MeesPierson research contract

Dutch private bank MeesPierson has commissioned a custom-designed research and analysis platform from Multex.

The new service will be created as part of a three-year, global deal that provides MeesPierson access to internal content coupled with a customised set of investment information from third-party sources.

It will provide users with access to proprietary firm research, broker research, Multex Estimates, news and pricing. The application will also allow for the distribution of MeesPierson's investment information, including committee reports, risk, performance and technical analysis, as well as investment strategy notes.

The solution will use Multex's XML Tornado platform to deliver integration of internal and external data sources.

The MeesPierson mandate is one of several buy-side custom solutions that Multex has won in 2002, says Gareth Jones, vice president, international sales, including Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Credit Suisse Asset Management, Tilney Investment Management and Schroders Investment Management.

Multex also provides a hosted research and analysis platform to MeesPierson corporate parent Fortis Bank.
