Mellon acquires DirectAdvice Internet platform

Mellon Financial has acquired the DirectAdvice financial planning platform for deployment by its investor services division.
The transaction was an all-cash deal, and additional terms were not disclosed
Mellon Investor Services (MIS), provides employee benefit products together with shareholder services, securities brokerage and related securities products.
Jim Aramanda, MIS president and chief executive officer says DirectAdvice combines the interactive capabilities of the Internet with financial planning and advice strategies.
"This service integrates many existing employee benefit products MIS and other Mellon businesses offer their clients for their employees," he adds.
