ClearCommerce says the hosted risk management application uses its patent-pending FraudShield and FraudAnalyzer software to provide fraud rules, data analysis and case management.

The system supports more than 40 currencies and interfaces to Visa's 3DSecure and MasterCard's UCAF anti-fraud schemes.

Brendan Cook, head, group cards, HSBC Holdings, says: "We were looking for a long-term partner that could provide a software platform capable of being deployed throughout the group and maintain card scheme compliance."

HSBC adds the ClearCommerce system will initially be rolled out across its UK operations, with further regions being added in the future.
