Bank of America deploys Level 8 EAI software

Bank of America has deployed Level 8 Systems Cicero software as an application integration vehicle for desktop customer services.

Financial details of the contract were not disclosed, but it is believed to represent Level 8's largest-ever contract win.

The West Coast bank is using the software, which offers a platform for connecting existing applications and new channels, to provide staff with integrated online access to disparate datasets at customer service centres nationwide.

Cicero is a desktop computer environment initially developed by Merrill Lynch and used by more than 30,000 of its staff worldwide.
