Texas-based transaction management software vendor S2 Systems has acquired Furkon Software Solutions' universal back office systems (UBS) product and related assets.
S2 says it is presently in talks with its clients to integrate the Furkon real-time reporting, settlement and reconciliation system with its flagship OpeN/2 platform to provide an end-to-end payments platform.
Three-year old Furkon's customer roster includes a top tier bank and several of the largest merchant/bank service providers in the United States
Stephen Clark, president and CEO, S2 Systems, says the acquisition positions the company as a provider of payment solutions "that run the gamut from online transaction switching and authorisation to back office automation and straight-through processing (STP)."
