Nasdaq goes live with Visualize data system

The system, which is available to members on Nasdaq-Online (NOL), provides secure access to real-time market data for CEOs and CFOs of listed companies.

In the first of a two-phased deployment agreement, the Visualize solution has been pre-built on the Exchange's Java-based StockPlot, DataVistaSpectrum and DataVistaExplorer systems.

Visualize says its solution works in tandem with a Siebel caller display system and enables MID directors to see real-time market data and monitor a member company's activity of buy, sell and cross transactions.

Donald Bosic, senior vice president, client services group, Nasdaq, says: "as billions of dollars worth of trades are transacted on Nasdaq, we've needed to further improve the ability of our Market Intelligence directors to access and monitor how the member companies they serve are performing in relation to others within their market sector.

This is support of listed companies that you cannot get from an exchange anywhere else in the world today," adds Bosic.

The two firms are currently discussing the second phase of deployment.
