Sanwa Bank migrates corporates to Brokat

Sanwa Bank California has signed a multi-million dollar licensing agreement to deploy the Brokat Corporate e-Banking suite of software.

Last year, the Californian bank introduced SanWeb, a Web-based cash management system which utilised Brokat's Information Reporting module within a service bureau environment. Under the new agreement, Sanwa is to implement the full Brokat Corporate e-Banking Suite inhouse, replacing its current Windows-based cash management system.

Built on Brokat's Twister platform, the package will be integrated with Sanwa Bank's existing systems to deliver a range of corporate cash management features, including cheque image inquiry, special reports, account transfer, positive pay, stop payments, ACH initiation, account reconciliation and wire transfer. The bank also plans to implement a new module that enables corporations to order coin and cash online.

Full deployment is scheduled for the second quarter in 2001. Further plans include implementing Brokat's mobile banking services such as alerts, notifications and approvals via wireless devices.
