Spain's Banco Santander Central Hispano has licensed Baltimore's UniCERT certificate management system to establish a security infrastructure for the bank's core business services. BSCH is a member of the bank-owned digital signature collective Identrus.
"Baltimore's complete e-security solution will enable us to build a solid foundation that will ensure our corporate customers' transactions are secure. In addition, UniCERT will be an integral part of our ability to deliver global services to our clients and other banks within the group through our involvement in the Identrus initiative. We are now able to architect and install a flexible, modular and easy to use PKI solution that will enable our corporate clients to take advantage of the opportunities the Internet economy offers in a transparent and secure fashion," says Baldomero Falcones, general manager, resources, technology & costs division of BSCH
UniCERT provides key management, authentication and non-repudiation facilities for online information and transaction-based services.
