ICICI Bank has contracted with Air2Web India to use its mobile Internet platform to provide customers with wireless access to accounts.
Customers will initially be able to receive account balances via the short message service (SMS) on their mobile phones.
The bank says that more features will be added to the service that will allow users to receive statements, order cheque books and speak to customer services staff.
