Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has deployed FlexTrade's real-time equity trading and order management system FlexTrader.
The system enables users to write and revise customised analytics and quantitative trading strategies within a rules-based framework.
BGI says Flextrader has been implemented and is being tested at its London, Toronto and Tokyo offices, and has gone live at its San Francisco operation.
Minder Cheng, managing director and global head of equity and currency trading, BGI says: "It (FlexTrader) gives us a weapon to quantify our P&L, easily automate our trading strategies, and make modifications in real time, in relation to intra-day market conditions."
