Multex has extended its Web-based research desktop platform for Schroders Investment Management (SIM) with an exclusive deal to provide enterprise-wide access to corporate earnings forecasts.
The platform, which lets users view commingled broker research, will now also include Multex Estimates, enabling users to access the full scope of consensus estimates data.
The system will provide a source of real-time consensus and detailed forecasts of earnings, sales, profitability, cash flow and other key metrics and will be used to benchmark analyst estimates and provide valuation metrics on companies not covered in-house.
Multex says its timeliness and accuracy of information were key factors in securing the deal.
Mark Bridgeman, head of emerging markets research, Schroder Investment Management says: "As an active asset manager Schroders believes in the potential to gain a competitive advantage from in-house global research. Multex’s high quality global estimates data enhances our research capability."
The deal follows an internal qualitative review of incumbent estimates information providers earlier this year, says Bridgeman.
Multex was able to show that the quality of its data offering was not limited to the major markets and that data standards were equally high in the developing markets covered by SIM.
