Online financial comparison company Money Supermarket has reached an agreement with BSkyB to provide retail financial services information on digital TV channel Sky Active.
The service, which launches later this year, will enable 15 million digital satellite viewers in the UK to compare over 400 loans and 4000 mortgages through their televisions.
Purchases for personal loans will be completed via telephone and mortgage leads will be passed onto a regional mortgage broker, who will contact the customer directly.
The Money Supermarket area will provide the same service at its Internet site and will include banner space for advertising.
Tobin Ireland, Commercial Director, Sky Interactive says: "The Money Supermarket service will add real consumer value to our existing line up of financial services and is a great example of how Sky Interactive’s browser based platform enables established online services to be easily adapted to work on digital television."
Simon Nixon, chief executive, Money Supermarket, adds that the service will evolve to deliver more products.
