NCipher, which has partnered with e-payment solution providers Arcot Systems and Cyota, says the solution will increase system capacity and reduce the need for additional servers.

The module, which will be integrated with Cyota's SecureSuite platform, provides a tamper-resistant security system to protect cryptographic keys and cardholder authentication processes.

Ram Varadarajan, president and CEO of Arcot Systems, says the new system will help card issuers take advantage of MasterCard and Visa's authentication programmes, which are expected to reduce e-commerce disputes by up to 80%.

PayShield is currently undergoing validation to meet the FIPS 140-2 Level 3 security standard.
