Pershing deploys Metavante's EBPP system

US investment firm Pershing, a Credit Suisse First Boston company, is to offer Metavante's electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) solution, to its broker-dealer customers and their clients to receive and pay bills online.

Pershing customers signing up to the service will be able to to provide their clients with trading capabilities and access to account information, news and quotes via the Internet.

The solution will be integrated with Pershing's asset management account system Procash Plus and delivered over its NetExchange Client Internet-based platform.

Brian Shea, chief operating officer, Pershing, says the solution will aid customers in asset gathering. He adds: "This innovative service enables our customers to provide their clients with a comprehensive solution for consolidating investment and other financial activity in one place and managing their assets more efficiently."

Pershing's broker-dealer clientele collectively respresent 4.5 million private investor accounts in the US.
