Scala Business Solutions and Citibank e-Business have launched a combined online banking and enterprise resource planning system for companies in the Middle East.
Aimed at multinational corporations which have yet to adopt online banking, the system enables online integration of data from back office processes with central banking transactions on a single platform.
Sankar Krishnan, Citibank e-Business regional head of the Gulf and Pakistan, says that currently less than half of the region's major businesses benefit from online banking.
He says the solution will be deployed globally in the coming year.
