Abbey National of the UK is to offer personal travel insurance services to consumers via it retail banking Web site.
Peter Jones, marketing manager for Abbey National travel insurance says that more customers are making travel arrangements at the last minute, but not booking travel insurance at the same time.
"Now holidaymakers can buy their travel insurance with Abbey National at the last minute too, selecting the combination of cover and premium to suit their needs. Once they have clicked, they are covered," he says.
