The Union Bank of California has selected Metavante's electronic presentment and payment solution for its commercial clients to present bills to their customer base and make payments via the Internet.
Customers of the bank's commercial clients will be able to use the Internet to pay their bills, view bank statements, schedule single or recurring payments, establish due date reminders and access online customer assistance.
Lew Taub, senior vice president of product management and development at the bank says: "This partnership is a component of Union Bank's strategy to deliver products and services our clients consider important to improving efficiency in their businesses."
He says the bank will launch the EBPP service later this summer.
