Online payments company AsiaPay and mobile solutions provider Diversinet have launched Secure mPay, a mobile payment system that allows customers to make purchases from their Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).

Secure mPay features real-time credit card authorisation, multi-currency and multi-lingual capabilities.

The payment system also reduces the risk of fraud by using Hongkong Post’s Mobile e-Cert digital certificates. Mobile e-Certs built on Diversinet’s wireless PKI technology, electronically verify and authenticate each party involved in a payment transaction.

Joseph Chan, chief executive officer of AsiaPay says: "Secure mPay is an efficient and flexible mobile payment system that will help our customers increase revenue and attract and retain customers."
