Under the programme, Consult Hyperion will provide objective analysis and recommendations to Visa members moving from magnetic stripe to EMV(Europay, Mastercard and Visa) chip-based smart cards.

Craig Richman, director at Consult Hyperion for Asia Pacific says that chip migration in Asia Pacific has gathered momentum over the past 18 months. He adds: "The move towards smart cards in the banking sector will not only address the problem of rising credit card fraud, but also provide a platform for the development of some exciting value-added applications across a variety of channels."
