Tradera's customers can click on the PayPal button to send or receive money for domestic or international transactions. In addition, Swedish PayPal users now have the option of transferring money directly from their PayPal account to their local bank account.

Scott Braunstein, PayPal vice president of European development, says the agreement will help expand PayPal's reach throughout Scandinavia.

Tradera is Scandinavia's largest Internet auction community, with 115,000 active auctions, 217,000 members and over 50,000 transactions monthly.

PayPal, which is currently being acquired by online flea market eBay, has over 17 million member accounts worldwide. More than $3 billion was sent through the PayPal network in the first half of 2002.
