Belgium's KBC Group has entered an agreement to to deploy Arbortext's XML-based multichannel publishing software across its banking and insurance operations.

KBC says will use Arbortext's Epic Editor software and Epic E-Content Engine to create and publish core business documents from its branch offices to provide customers with up-to-date banking and insurance summaries.

Luc Provoost, IT department manager, insurance and prestudies for KBC, says: "KBC chose Arbortext for its unmatched ability to create multi-language, multi-channel customised content...Arbortext allows us to deploy an enterprise solution that could be used simultaneously by 6000 people to create daily summaries of banking transactions as well as publish general conditions of insurance contracts to our customers."

KBC has over 900 European branch offices throughout Belgium, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
