NYCE will use US Wireless Data's Synapse Adapter to transmit wireless transactions throught its electronic payment network, replacing a standard dial-up telephone line.

It is anticipated that the new service will simplify ATM installation and relocation and help reduce operating costs for NYCE's ATM deploying clients.

John Berg, Director, alternative delivery services at NYCE, says: "This enhanced service will facilitate the installation of new off-premises ATMs where a dial-up telecommunications line doesn't make logistical sense."
