UK-based National Counties Building Society has gone live with SDS Applications' Emaps system to accept customer mortgage applications via the Internet.
Emaps has been integrated with National Counties’ existing Web site and interfaces directly with its Lynx mortgage application processing system.
After selecting a mortgage product using the Web-based search facility, applicants can enter their details online and are presented with a decision in principle at the end of the application entry process. Applicants can then track their application progress from start to finish using a unique login. The system will also e-mail customers to let them know exactly what is happening at each stage of the application and underwriting process.
Tony Gration, deputy chief executive at NCBS, says: "We now have in excess of thirty online applications in the pipeline and our first online mortgage completed last week."
