HVB Informations, the IT subsidiary of Germany's HVB Group, has standardised on BMC Software's mainframe and distributed software solutions for enterprise-wide systems management.
Using BMC Software's Patrol technology and numerous IMS database management solutions, HVBInfo will look to minimise downtime by bringing applications and databases back online quickly. The new technology should increase HVBInfo's ROI by proactively predicting and preventing service outages and downtime through automated diagnosis and problem solving, says the company.
Frank Roth, managing director and CTO of HVBInfo, comments: "We evaluated several products from numerous management vendors and are confident BMC Software's solutions will help us best meet our challenge of providing increased monitoring and management capabilities while simultaneously improving overall enterprise performance."
In addition to the products purchased, HVBInfo has agreed to be a part of BMC Software's beta testing efforts. As BMC Software develops new enterprise management solutions, HVBInfo will have access to these solutions to test their functionality and provide feedback to the BMC development team.
