UK comms outfit Comunica has been contracted to install the Molex Category 6 and Real Time intelligent patching system which were selected by Northern Trust. The Real Time system will monitor any moves, adds and changes in real time across more than 15,000 points in the buildings.

Stephen Parrott, vice-president of technical services for Northern Trust, comments: "We’ve opted for the Molex intelligent patching solution as it will provide us with complete control and security over our network, automatically notifying our support personnel of any problems, moves, adds or changes."

Now available for Category 5e and Category 6 networks, the Molex Real Time Patching System‘ can be retrofitted to legacy cabling systems as well as new installations.
