US regional electronic funds transfer outfit NetWorks has selected Transaction Network Services (TNS)'s IP-based network to support ATM connectivity.
NetWorks will use TNS Connect as its dedicated, private, IP-based network that transports ATM transactions to the required processor hosts. The connection will allow NetWorks to monitor transactions on a real-time basis and provide the redundant coverage and necessary back-up for each transaction.
TNS Connect supports all legacy protocols at ATMs, so companies don't have to make any expensive hardware changes in switching from dial-up to a dedicated IP connection, says the company.
