Brainpower is to incorporate mutual fund data for UK, European, US and Asian markets from Reuters subsidiary Lipper into its range of investment analysis tools.
Under the non-exclusive agreement Brainpower has the right to sell and distribute Lipper content fully integrated with its software applications to financial markets around the globe. The data will be accessible through Brainpower's TopFunds application for mutual fund and NetXceed Platform.
TopFunds provides a modular, user-friendly graphical interface with the power to select and analyse mutual funds and build and compare portfolios of funds. The NetXceed Platform offers a central collector of financial information and a multi-channel delivery engine of decision support and advisory functionality.
Udo Verling, market data service manager (Emea) of UBS Global Asset Management, believes: "Brainpower's analytics, combined with the data supplied by Lipper, provide an extremely flexible and user friendly solution demanded by the market place and as a result of this close cooperation it will inevitably be possible to further develop this solution."
Combined Brainpower/Lipper applications are available immediately for UK, European and Asian funds. The interface for the US funds data is currently under development and is expected to be ready for shipping by April 30.
