The person-to-person payments outfit has also launched the PayPal Developer Network (PDN), to provide Web professionals with a central resource for detailed technical information about PayPal products and services, as well as free access to e-commerce tools like the PayPal shopping cart.

The PayPal Developer Network also contains a directory of more than 50 e-commerce solutions that use PayPal, including shopping carts, storefronts, affiliate software, and subscription management services built by PayPal developers.

David Sacks, chief operating officer of PayPal, says: "The PayPal Developer Network was created to help Web designers and developers build e-commerce Web sites and more than 20,000 PayPal developers have joined PDN already.
