Britannic Asset Management has selected Mercator Software to automate its securities and fixed income trading and settlement processes.

Under the agreement, the UK fund manager will use Mercator's Integration Broker technology to enable electronic trade confirmation (ETC) and electronic trade settlement (ETS) in a bid to reduce settlement risk and increase operational efficiency.

The first phase of the project will include the automation of messages at the post-trade, pre-settlement stage. The second phase will enable the automation of the trade settlement process. The project is scheduled for completion later this year.
