The card issuer will deploy Cyota's SecureVbV solution - developed in conjunction with Verified by Visa - to enable card issuers to verify a cardholder's identity through the use of a password and provide results to the merchant in real time during the virtual checkout process.

The system is scheduled for roll out in the second quarter.

Arie Heliweil, Leumi Card CEO, says: "We performed a thorough screening process, at the end of which we selected the one company that offered the most advanced and user-friendly service available."

The contract marks the first win for Cyota in the European market. The US-based company currently lists Bank of America and First USA among its VbV client list.
