Under the deal, Samsung will act as a broker on behalf of Orc Software's clients, via its subsidiary Orc ExNet. Clients can trade in stock options and contracts on the Kospi 200 index without the need for exchange membership.

YS Shin, SVP of Samsung Securities, says: "We see a good potential to improve overall service quality through offering Samsung Securities' e-brokerage services via Orc Software's front-end."

Trading via Samsung Securities is expected to be available to Orc Software's clients in Q2, 2002.
