Egar Technology has launched a new real-time equity options trading and risk system for US market makers, based on its ETS (Equity Trading System) platform.
The ETS platform provides trade entry and real-time market view screens, risk analysis and decision support tools, all supported by the vendor's proprietary implied volatility data.
Features of the new system - which has been redesigned to cater for market makers moving to an electronic trading environment - include a theoretical value engine, a volatility manager, a correlation-based analyser for both delta and vega hedging, and ‘upstairs’ and handheld support.
Egar says it is close to completing contract negotiations with one of the largest market makers in New York and another based in Philadelphia.
