The new entrants to the market are: Business Wire Regulatory Disclosure provided by Business Wire; Newslink Financial provided by Newslink; PimsWire provided by Pims; and PR Newswire Disclose provided by PR Newswire.

They will compete directly with the London Stock Exchange's RNS service.

The opening of the market springs from the UK watchdog's decision to end the monopoly of the London Stock Exchange on company announcements.

The PIPs will use the interim period to establish news feeds to aggregated newswires, including Reuters, Bloomberg, AFX News, UK-wire.com, Hemscott.net and the London Stock Exchange.
