ING Barings has signed up for IntraLinks' digital workspace, a secure private intranet for collaborative networking. The bank will use the system to streamline corporate finance dealings between employees in Hong Kong, London and New York and external partners and advisors worldwide.
"We're looking to digitise our deal processes and improve communication with our partners in other locations," states Richard Malpas, managing director of eBusiness at ING Barings. "We wanted a creative e-business solution that would accelerate our productivity and lower our costs."
ING Barings intends to use the network to manage projects, increase efficiency, and improve overall operations. The bank also plans to employ digital workspaces to facilitate capital markets transactions online.
