Informatique-Banques Populaires, the data services company of the French co-operative movement, has selected Cognos' Web-based business intelligence product for enterprise-wide customer data analysis.
Informatique-Banques Populaires provides IT services to a network of 20 regional Banque Populaire Group cooperative banks. Five hundred employees in sales, finance and marketing, will use Cognos Impromptu Web Reports and Cognos PowerPlay via each bank's Web portal to analyse and report on key financial metrics, customer data, and profitability.
"We needed a zero-footprint solution that would allow us to perform powerful analysis and managed reporting quickly and easily," says Dominique Mahot, financial E.O. of the Banque Populaire Loire et Lyonnais.
The contract was won in a competitive tender, she adds.
