Credit Agricole e-brokerage extends into Asia

Blink, the electronic brokerage business of Credit Agricole Indosuez Securities and affiliated companies, is to use GL Trade's proprietary network, GL Net, to provide investors worldwide with connectivity to the stock exchanges of Tokyo, Hong Kong and Korea.

Jerry Lees, managing director of Blink, says: "This agreement will help us expand the distribution of our Asian market products worldwide and gives our customers greater choice of access and flexibility through the excellent trading features of GL's trading systems and network."

The GL Trade live link to the Asian markets will be switched on later this month, says Lees.

The initiative is part of CAI's efforts to integrate its Asian brokerage operations on to the European electronic trading platform, Blink.
