Barclays Bank is outsourcing the management of its contract and temporary IT and clerical staff to UK recruitment firm Spring.
Under the deal, Spring will use its online workforce management solution, hy-phen, to provide the bank with access to a pool of IT professionals. These will be supported by a small number of approved IT recruiters.
Hy-phen streamlines the recruitment process, from the raising and authorisation of online job requirements, through fulfilment and management to automated hiring processes and online timesheets.
Sue Turner, HR director of Barclays Bank Group, says: "Spring's in-depth knowledge of the staffing industry and their ability to advise on future market trends made it the obvious partner."
