Nine Latin American banking institutions are to implement RSA's SecurID authentication solution in a bid to further protect their on-line banking applications.
The new licensees are MBA Financiero in Argentina, Banorte in Mexico, Banco de Credito de Peru, Giro Curacao, Banco de Cafe en Guatemala, Bank Boston Brazil, Banco de Estado in Chile, Banco Industrial de Venezuela and Banco de Itsmo in Panama.
The RSA SecurID authentication device replaces password entry by generating a one-time use code, which customers use during the login process to uniquely identify themselves.
