First Union National Bank has revamped its online insurance Web site to offer consumers a 'one-stop shop' for annuities and insurance.
The new platform includes more simplified navigation routines, enhanced quoting options, and educational and planning tools that help customers to chooses from an expanded set of products that includes specialty coverage.
The upgrade follows the merger of First Union and Wachovia on 1 September, 2001, which brings together some of the highest rated insurance companies in the industry, says the bank.
The upgrade was completed using software from Ohio-based insurance technology vendor Pivot.
