UK insurance broker Beddis Hobbs is to extend an existing partnership with Sirius Financial Systems for its broking technology.
The insurer is to extend an eleven year relationship with SFS (formerly Policy Masters) and implement the vendor's Sirius for Broking product throughout its operations.
The brokerage system is a 3-tier client-server Windows application, designed to manage all the generic business and specialist insurance requirements of commercial lines and personal lines intermediaries. It includes all front-office functions (risk presentation, quotes, EDI, point-of-sale documentation) integrated to back-office functions (client and policy administration, claims processing and full accounting), in addition to infrastructure services such as e-mail and Internet access.
Installation is due to begin before year-end, with the system scheduled to go live by February 2002.
