The bank will deploy the front-to-back office trading solution to manage its energy and precious metals trading business, following its recent implementation of Endur for its power and natural gas activities.

Marc Wall, global head of gold, energy & commodities at WestLB, says: "Endur has been fully integrated with WestLB's major banking systems to enable straight-through processing of newly traded instruments. We considered several competitive applications, but OpenLink's open architecture and point and click capabilities meant that WestLB could specify precisely the configuration required and customise it as needed."

Endur combines advanced analytics with sophisticated pricing curves, helping users to accurately model and value any energy instruments, says the company. The system provides deal capture, real time position keeping, and risk evaluation of market, credit, volumetric and operational exposures.
