The bank required a fully automated process that would integrate transactions originating from an AS/400 back office system, IBM mainframe running CMS and multiple points where manual counter payments were processed. These transactions then had to be validated, exceptions raised and processed, errors remedied and the authorised data formatted to meet the RTGS fixed data format requirements.

One key goal was to enable transactions of more than one billion rupiah to automatically flow through the RTGS live network and for lesser amounts to the SKEJ network.

"We recognised there was an urgent need to implement an STP solution for our RTGS system if we were going to be able to dramatically improve our efficiencies, reduce the risk inherent with manual processing and at the same time, increase the volume of transactions," comments Takashi Iwai from PT Bank UFJ Indonesia.

HelioGraph's platform is based on NT technology and incorporates the new ISO15022 Swift message standards. Its core component, Helio Message Broker, is SwiftReady Gold accredited.

The project was managed and implemented by Decillion, HelioGraph's Asia Pacific partner, based in Singapore.
